Margaret River
The historic Margaret River Hotel on the main strip is a great place to sit down and enjoy a few beers or wines while watching the game. Built in 1936, this local watering hole showcases sports games all year round. The food is pretty impressive too. There is also Settlers Tavern with a sports bar, live music, pool tables and an outdoor area. Or, if you want something a bit more upmarket, lounge in the bistro of The Common (just a short drive outside of Margaret River, at Gnarabup) and catch the AFL while playing a few games of pool and tucking into some amazing food.
Albany
If you’re a serious sports fan, it would be a crime to miss Inswing Sports Bar, the “undisputed home of live sport” to catch a game. With 25 sports screens, including four 150-inch HD screens, a darts room, pool tables and a museum of sporting memorabilia, this is the place to be in Albany this September.
Dunsborough
Find your way upstairs to the Elevator Bar at The Pourhouse and watch the game on the big screen TV. Down the road is The Dunsborough Tavern in the centre of town. This is a casual spot the locals frequent, and it offers sporting game broadcasts and live music. Great food, great atmosphere and a whopping big screen TV outside.
