The Cape Lodge Restaurant

Featuring seasonal local and homegrown produce — sourced from the restaurant’s own kitchen garden, local farms and the Indian Ocean — The Cape Lodge Restaurant is a treat for anyone in search of fresh and innovative cuisine.

The menu changes daily but regularly features popular South-West produce like Albany Rock Oysters, Donnybrook Marron, Harvey Beef Tenderloin and Wagin Squab. The wine list features current and back vintages from Margaret River’s great wine estates and other Australian and international wine regions.

Cape Lodge

Set on a stunning brook, reflecting beautiful natural bushland, the restaurant has a new specialty — long table dinners on Sundays. The Cape Lodge Restaurant is well worth a visit, whether you’re a real “foodie” or just looking for somewhere spectacular for a great dinner with friends.

It’s open for breakfast from 7.30a.m. to 10a.m. daily and for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, from 6p.m.

Knee Deep in Margaret River

This award-winning restaurant serves sophisticated and skilfully crafted dishes, using the abundant seasonal ingredients of the region. Knee Deep’s Wagin duck, muntrie, rhubarb, preserved rose and fermented raspberry is a favourite with guests. And those who like to settle in and enjoy good food with friends and family will adore the ‘Trust the Chef’ four-course degustation menu. For all of this, Knee Deep has an unpretentious and easygoing ambience and welcomes people of all ages.

Vasse Felix

Overlooking the verdant Australian native forest at Wilyabrup — the perfect place to sit back, relax, and indulge in the regional flavours, textures and creative cuisine the Chef-Hat-winning team at Vasse Felix have created to complement the wineries famous drops.

The menu is created from local, seasonal produce and changes daily as new ingredients become available. Modern Australian in style, the menu draws inspiration from international preparation techniques, fused in a manner unique to Vasse Felix. That signature style is seen in entrees like marron, watermelon, miso yoghurt and togarashi, or mains like buckwheat gnocchi, cauliflower, raisin, goats cheese and hazelnut. You’ll find sample menus on the website.

Housed in a delightful timber and stone building, the restaurant has a casual ambience. It’s open daily for lunch from 12p.m. to 3p.m.

Flutes Restaurant is a multiple Gold-Plate-winning restaurant, under executive chef Francois Morvan, and has a reputation for innovative menus and impeccable service.

Chef Morvan brings an exotic mix to the dishes served — combining his French training with “a reverence” for local seasonal produce. This is another of those restaurants where the menu is continually evolving — and always carefully created to perfectly match the wines produced from the home vineyard.

Flutes Restaurant is open daily from 11a.m. for morning tea and from midday until 3.30p.m. for lunch.

From the sweeping verandah, overlooking the vines, meadows and majestic karri trees, the location is as tranquil as it is superb.
