Thinking South West Wedding?

At Private Properties, we have many guests use our properties for their bridal party, family and friends accommodation. Not only providing a memorable wedding experience, but a great holiday experience as well.

We often get asked when is the best time to book a wedding in the South West, so we thought now would be a good opportunity to get some thoughts from one of Margaret River’s leading wedding and event planners, Nicole Liedermoy, from Coast to Country Weddings.

“People often ask me when is the best season for a wedding in the south-west of WA. The primary wedding months have traditionally been September through to April. Taking in the seasons Spring, Summer and through to early Autumn. The two biggest wedding months are March and November. Would you believe the Margaret River region is now for catering over 40 weddings in one day!

The “off” season, or the slowest business season, mostly runs June, July and August. But I will say this, because the region is so beautiful in the winter months we are finding that these months are now starting to build momentum.

Is it a cheaper option? Yes, it can be, because of the supply and demand issue. Many wedding suppliers will often offer discounts or packages, to entice clients to use them because this is such a quiet time.

Top tip for the “on” wedding season – if you’re looking to have your wedding during this season don’t dilly dally booking your suppliers, otherwise they may be snapped up by someone else!”

Thanks Nicole for your helpful tips.
