Here comes the sun! Summer in Australia has arrived and we all deserve a carefree season of frivolity and celebration. Lucky for us, Western Australia’s Margaret River region is pulling out all the stops. Whether you’re down south over Christmas with your young family, partying for New Year with friends, or having a chilled late summer getaway with your other half, there’s plenty to see and do. Live Music Line-Up at Aravina Estate

Chill out on the lawns of this spectacular picturesque estate with its manicured gardens and gazebos. All that’s required of you is finding a spot on the grass to sit down, soaking up the live music and swilling some great wine.

While we can’t jet off overseas for a NYE jaunt this year, we can still have a bit of fun with the travel theme. Settlers Tavern in Margaret River is putting on a ‘Passport Party’ with DJs, drinks, food, and a holiday dress-up for those who feel like getting into the costume spirit. Tickets are essential.

Festival of Busselton

Okay, so this technically starts on the last day in December but since it runs for the duration of January, we’ve included it here. The festival includes many, many activities and attractions for all ages, including an outdoor cinema, treasure hunts, possum night walks, art shows, and markets. A must visit for those looking for school holiday activities in Busselton.

Here Comes the Sun music festival

Hello 2021! Usher in the first days of the new year rocking out to Birds of Tokyo, Drapht, Crooked Colours, and more, at the Dunsborough Playing Fields. Buses from as far away as Margaret River and Bunbury are available so you don’t have to worry about driving or parking.
