  • Stunning beaches

    Dunsborough has its own beautiful beach at the far end of the main street where you will find beautifully landscaped picnic areas, shady trees and lawn. Plenty of white sand too, of course, and the waters are quite calm.
    Further along the bay, you can walk or drive to discover the stunning turquoise waters at Meelup Beach, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay. They’re all well worth a visit, whether you enjoy surfing, swimming, sailing, snorkelling, diving or simply lazing on the sand.

  • Indulgent shopping

    For anyone wanting to indulge, this is the place for you. Cafés, bakeries, home wares stores and fashion boutiques line the main streets of town, and there are a number of beauty studios and day spas that specialise in heavenly treats.
    Anyone with a love for leather and an eye for style will want to check out Dunsborough’s fine selection of shoe stores.
    Walk around the corner and you’ll find yet more boutiques selling everything from lingerie and cosmetics to silk dresses, fine jewellery, swimwear and flowers.

    Several fine restaurants, wineries and micro-breweries in the area serve delicious food and premium beverages from the heart of the Margaret River region.
    Many wineries are family friendly and include children’s menus and playgrounds to suit the entire family.

  • Family activities

    When not at the beach, families will love the town's array of playgrounds, an indoor climbing centre and a little country farm where kids can pat and feed the small animals or play in the indoor playground.
    An adventure park just out of town is another drawcard for families.
    At the end of a long day out, take the kids to Simmo's for some award-winning ice-cream and a whirl on the merry-go-round.

    For art lovers, Dunsborough has stunning galleries showing off fine hand crafted pottery, wood works, sculptures and photography.

  • Adventure activities

    For the adventurous, there is nearby Ngilgi Cave to be explored, rock climbing along coastal cliff faces, learning to surf at Yallingup, or mountain bike riding in the nearby bush trails that are also host to annual events such as the Dunsborough X Adventure .
    Sailing is another popular activity out on the bay.

  • Dive wreck

    A favourite experience for those who enjoy diving is a visit to the HMAS Swan Dive Wreck, which is considered a world-class site. The HMAS Swan was a River Class Frigate Destroyer Escort built in 1967. She was decommissioned in 1996 and laid to rest in 30 metres of water off Meelup Beach.

  • Lighthouse wonders

    Take a drive to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Maritime Museum just 13 kilometres out of town. The view over the bay is superb and you may be lucky enough to spot whales and dolphins from here during the whale migration season.
    There are also several easy walking trails and sections of the Cape to Cape Track to explore.

  • Walk to everything

    Stay in Dunsborough and walk to most of the town's attractions with ease.
    A pathway hugs the beach from one end of town to the next, making this a great little place for exploring on bike too.
    Coffees, groceries, meals and clothing are all to be found down the main street of town.
