Attractions

Bunker Bay is the closest settlement to historic Cape Naturaliste lighthouse, located on the far end of Geographe Bay, and providing a perfect base for coastal walks year-round. The lighthouse, built in 1903, was made from limestone quarried near Bunker Bay and offers panoramic ocean views. The Lighthouse Keepers Cottage Café is a great spot for coffee, cake or a light lunch and the kids will love the nautical-themed playground.

Nature

You can’t help connecting with nature thanks to the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and unspoilt coastline. This is an absolutely beautiful beach for swimming, beach fishing, go for a SUP or a surf, and look out for whales – humpbacks, southern rights, the rare blue and minke whales, from June to October. The 123-kilometre Cape to Cape Track starts at Cape Naturaliste and shorter walks are available too! There’s a lovely walk from Bunker Bay to the lighthouse via Shelley Cove, or simply along the white sands of Bunker Bay beach.
