    Bunker Bay is ideal for families and couples wanting a relaxing holiday as well as divers or snorkellers who are in search of amazing marine life just offshore. The fishing is also good, so throw in a line and you might snare a herring, whiting or skippy.

  • Whale-watching season

    Whale-watching season peaks in September, October and November as whales migrate up and down the coast. The Geographe Bay coastline is one of the best places in WA to view humpback whales, southern right whales and the rare blue and minke whales.

    It’s just a short drive from Bunker Bay to several award-winning wineries, micro-breweries, restaurants, cafes and olive growers. The small town of Dunsborough is the place to go for all your supermarket provisions and its strong line-up of coffee houses – interspersed with boutique stores, home wares stores and surf shops – can keep you busy for most of the day. Some great places to eat out include Bunkers Beach Cafe, Other Side of the Moon, Eagle Bay Brewery, Wise Winery and Eagle Bay Olives

  • Panoramic lighthouse views

    It’s an easy climb to the top of the nearby Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse for breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the surrounding Leeuwin Naturaliste Park, Cape Naturaliste and the sweeping arc of the Geographe Bay coastline.

  • Stunning walk trails

    It’s little wonder people from all over the world come to walk the stunning coastal trails and Cape to Cape Track around Bunker Bay. Be sure to stop at pretty Shelley Beach and take in the beauty of the high calcarenite cliff face that makes a stunning backdrop to this little beach, with its white sand and shady peppermint trees.

    There's even a beach cafe nestled behind the dunes that serves amazing breakfasts and lunches. Grab a coffee, read the paper, relax. This is holiday heaven.
