Get ready for Jazz by the Bay 2019

Western Australia’s South-West towns will be in fine form with more than 45 individual shows involving 200 performers from WA, Australia and overseas. It doesn’t matter what particular jazz style you prefer because there are so many varieties catering to all tastes. Lively Parisian-style; elegant and soft tunes to sway the night away to; rollicking big band; spicy Brazilian; and performances directly from the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans.

And while it may be called Jazz by the Bay, there is plenty of soul, funk, bebop and swing on the menu.

The multi-day event has been sashaying its way through Dunsborough and surrounding towns since 2013, and last year welcomed more than 11,000 people. Unlike many other festivals, this one won’t cost the world. Around two-thirds of performances are free, or free with the purchase of a meal, while the remaining third have a reasonable fee.
